MISTA BAREGA

Mista Barega, that is Prince Zeka's new Afro-Reggae formation that combines Reggae with Afro-Beat. The repertoire of songs includes Mista Barega's own compositions as well as cover versions of various reggae legends. During his appearances, Mista Barega is reinforced by the exceptional soul singer Marjorie Etukudo from Nigeria. Marjorie is better known in Vienna for her soulful performances with her own band. She proves that she is an excellent interpreter of reggae legends in the program of Mista Barega.

Ewa Paprotna and Prince Zeka, both international singers of high quality, present an interesting new musical creation under the name "Contrast": their very innovative style "OpeRap" is a mixture of classical opera and rap:

Renata Sarasvati Diem reads selected poems by well-known African authors and Prince Zeka sings lyrical songs to his acoustic guitar.

Prince Zeka transports the audience into the world of African sounds - through the poems, Renata Sarasvati creates a picture of the emotional depths of Africa. Supported by Prince Zeka's carefully used musical atmosphere, Renata's performance gains in expressiveness and vision. Wonderful new synergy effects result, which transpose the subject of “African poetry” in particular, but also “reading” in general, into a new dimension.
